Hello comrades!
I´m looking for Royal Navy decals, I need them for a Falklands War alternate air component: Tomcat, Intruder, Corsair, Sea Jaguar, so despite I have a couple from my Sea Harriers, I should need some more. If any of you can help me, I have some kits to exchange, all in 1/72: hawker tempest (3 of them), Bf 109g, Hawker hunter, even some F8 crusaders too, you may choose among them.

I've got a pile floating around from the generosity of this group, so I can pass a few along. Any specifics ?

Well, as there are very few FAA fast jet squadrons, I have decided to do compsite units, so ANY RN decals are welcome. I have 2 sets, so I need let´s say, 5-6 more. 70s era decals are good if you have some (from a bucc or Phantom kit).

Go for a Sea Vixen and Sea harrier markings as they give you markings for 800, 801, 809 (for the Shars in light grey in 82), 890,891, 892 893 and of course 899.

Phantom FGR1 markings for 892 sqdn are useless for this purpose as the original 892 emblem was replaced by the Greek letter Omega to represent the last Fixed wing carrier squadron in the FAA to operate (note that 801 Sea Harriers also wore the Black Omega over their winged trident during their last year in service.

Thanks for the advice, Thorvic! Anyone has a Sea Vixen sheet?. I have some good sheets to exchange: hasegawa F4EJ and F14, Heller Tornado GR4A, Italeri F15Cs and A10, Italeri Tu-22 Backfires and Blinder.. all in 1/72. The blinder sheets comes with Lybian, Iraq and Russian markings. I also have a TSR2 sheet from the kit.

This may not quite answer the question but.....

Xtradecal do a double sheet for the SHARS and GR3s flown during the Falklands war. I think you could build many more than 5-6 aircraft from the sheet, as it has 38 roundels of various types included, let alone the scores of serials, stencils and other stuff. It's £8.79 and the cat. no. is X72073.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Don't listen to him. I'm convinced that he stocks up on everything in sight whenever he visits Dave at One Stop, then makes me feel guilty by unloading on me when I drop in. Last time I passed through Sarnia I left with more than I gave him!
