Agreed, on the Radials. and Ranger, that Italian Torpedo plane rocks  love the national insignia

An armor guy, who builds airplanes almost exclusively, that he converts to space fighters-- all while admiring ship models.

It's hard to see, but the color surrounding the star is green. So it's red (stripe), white (bars and star) and green (star field).
It's an Italian Co-operation aircraft for the Allies. Originally, the Axis MC 605 was used on a Doolittle-like raid of Alexandria harbor from the Italian carrier Aquila. When the Italians capitulated, the Aquila defected and went to the Allies, and was used in the assault on Indonesia a year later. The Italian Fasces have been overpainted, and the stars-and-bars put on.

You can't see it in the picture, but the cockpit canopy is Me-410, as are the swiveling rear-defense guns. Three MC 205's gave their engines for the Vendetta, and a 1/200 Connie gave its tail. The folding wings were a BEATCH.

...............

Another possible radial Bf-110 idea is to swipe two Ki-100 or radial-Judy nacelles that would fit the narrow Bf-110 nacelles, rather than replace the whole thing for the larger-diameter radial engines from some "radial" wing setup like a Potez 631 or something.
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!
