Welcome to the Trainers with Teeth/CoIn Group Build 2009; My name is Ian and apparently along with my friend Rallymodeller we're moderating this here shin-dig. I cobbled together some roolz a few weeks back, but as this is written, I don't have them to hand, and I need to chat with Rally about them before putting them on the board. Suffice to say there's nothing too contentious, usual sort of thing.

Here's a few that I can recall.......

Any and all entries of any scale/type are welcome;

Models should not be started BEFORE the actual start date - if you've just started or are uncertain, just have a word with myself or Rally, we'll sort-it-out with a couple of PM's;

Have fun;

I'll start a general 'Help & Advice' thread - and get a 'proper' moderator to pin it - for all things GB. If you're stuck with a build, need some decals or have a problem finding your loadout, that's the place to ask;

Winner will be decided by 'popular vote' at the end of the time period - Not sure about prizes, may well donate something suitable from my own stash, will keep y'all advised on that;

In progress shots have already started appearing on this board, and that's great

- I would respectfully request that we keep posting them here, simply to so as to not 'clog-up' the regular 'In Progress' thread.

That's all I can think to say just now, as I mentioned, have fun with it..... I know I will !

or i could start over with another, o got just the thing in mind

Sorry if I missed it elsewhere but is it going to be just the month duration then or longer?

Do believe Anthony indicated this was one of the 3 GB's that started on Jan 1st and is listed through the end of April (see GB main page).

I have a model that I have already built, that I would like to convert in to a Whif COIN craft. Would that be okay?

Sounds OK in principal, Tinlail, how much work is involved ?

Not quite sure yet. The idea was converting a P-61 in to an predecessor of the Bronco.
Trade the old radar out for a nose gun turret (possibly a B-36 turret). At least fair over the glass in the tail cone. Add weapon racks, fly as long range close air support in the early dark day's of Korea.
