Engine kits???

Hi folks,

Does anyone know of any stand alone kits of jet engines or alternatively full kits that come with a fully detailed engine.  I'm primarily after a GE F404 or F414 in either 1/48 or 1/32 at this stage.

There's a beautiful 1/48 Jumo 004 out there in resin and etch, but that engine is subtly different than what you're looking for, eh?

I'm afraid not - it needs to be either a F404 or F414. I thought maybe something like the Tamiya 1/32 F-16CJ Fighting-Falcon [Block50] might be a way to go as this includes an engine (unfortunately it is another GE product, the F110:




Does anyone do a F/A-18A/C or F/A-18E/F kit that's similar (1/48 or 1/32 acceptable)?

I might have found something - Trumpeter's new F/A-18F (or EA-18G) 1/32 kit looks promising:



Does anyone know if it is available yet - I couldn't seem to find anything on their website.

Still looking for other options as well - maybe a Gripen could be a candidate as well?
