Are you dead-set on making it real-world?  You could do it as a Yugo example, kept in service after WWII to counter Soviet JS-series tanks.  You would be able to keep it pretty stock (same gun, etc) and not worry too much about back-story.  It would also let you give it a new AA MG for the commander if you wanted and give it a striking scheme.

You could even paint it up for the Yugo Civil War as if they just pulled it out of some storage warehouse it was put in after WWII.

Well here she is in all her glory.

You could call this a whif as I only had a camouflage profile of one side the rest is artistic interpretation. I am sure that armour purists would say I got it all wrong.

I used pastels and a couple of washes of thinned down tamyia brown to give it a dirty look, but I tried to not go over board with the weathering.

I am very happy with the result.

Now onto the next model.

Very nice, that's a burly lookin' sucker. I'm still amazed you can paint in all those tight spots after it's built.

So well painted, it makes me wonder where the hell I left my 17pdr.  I had so many times come to curse a buddy of mine when playing Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord or Afrika Korps when he'd put one of those on the field.  The number of burning and trashed wrecks left at the mercy of those things... I hated them with a passion.  The same in Barbarossa to Berlin, though that just make me laugh at the one time I had a shooting duel, point blank, between an IS-3 and a Jagdtiger, front to front, the two of them just POUNDING on each other relentlessly.  That was hilarious.

Thanks!

It was an absolute pleasure to build!

I liked it so much I went and bought another which I am going to bash into an imperial gaurd tank. Sort of a forrunner to the Banaeblade.

You have the painting skills of a master of the craft, Sisko! Not only did you choose a camo scheme that fits like a glove but you've carried it off incredibly convincingly!
