Hi Sandie , sorry I've taken so long to reply , just very busy at the moment,
Thanks for your comments , firstly it was airbrushed extra dark sea grey, Humbrol acrylic (123), preshaded using medium grey with a bit of dark sea grey sprayed into some panels to break up single tone, followed by post shade of  a mix of the two colours to blend everything in then promodeller washes were used into some more prominent panel lines and where the airflow would have washed the oil and grime into areas under and around  the fuselage,
secondly , this is a hybrid model , using the P1154 RAF as a basis adding some parts from the Maintrack RN vacform kit , namely main undercarriage, seat and wing mounted U/C pods. It is possible to graft the Maintrack 2 seater cockpit on and I may well do this in future, ;D
and lastly, the centre line tank is purely artistic licence , as you say in reality it would have created more problems than it would have solved !!plus the combined weight with everything hanging off it would have been a problem in very hot conditions ,

Thanks for your  interest,

Cheers now,

The General...
Clearly, Field Marshal Haig is about to make yet another gargantuan effort to move his drinks cabinet six inches closer to Berlin.
