Just sweeping up the confetti from last nights ceremony and thought some of you might be a little curious about how things ran this year so figured I would pass along a little insight.

14 members submitted 391 total nominations in 22 categories.  The top 5 total nominated entries made up the final category for Whiffie of the Year.  There were 5 nominees for each category except 2. The top nominated model received 12 nominations across 3 different categories.  The 2nd highest received 11 nominations.  Both of these won a Whiffie but not the Whiffie of the Year.

788 votes were cast during the final phase.  4 categories received 40+ votes with the Camo category getting the most at 46 (the Whiffie of the Year was 2nd with 42 votes).  2 categories received less than 30 votes.  The Academy only had to step in to break 1 tie with two other categories only having a 1 vote margin of victory.  The largest margin of victory in a full (5 entries) category was 14 votes.

I didn't count the number of hours I put into this project but there were a couple.  Sandy also put in a bunch of time working on the certificates and dealing with a computer issue in the middle of it.

Puddingwrestler (aka Owen) has already submitted an application to assist with next years production and after careful consideration and much debating the Academy said Heck Yes (I do live in Utah).  There are still a few openings if any other sucke... I mean, fine upstanding leaders of their communities want to participate in all the fun.

Any categories receive more than five nominations?
There are no good kits, bad kits or grail kits, just kitbash fodder.

All but 5 categories received at least 5 different nominations with 26 nominations in 2 categories (not all different).  I was able to flesh out 3 of the remaining categories with my nominations and two categories I could not flesh out further than the 2 entries.

And thanks from all of us for your efforts, Philip!

Thanks philp, for your efforts to bring us "The Whiffies".

I was privileged to be nominated in two categories (though curiously, neither was what I felt my forte was--but THAT category had SO MANY fabulous entries). The sobbing and thrashing is over, now. I will just have to re-double my efforts for the coming year.
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

Dude, you outdid yourself this year...especially since it was the toughest (spanning back a lot of time) and I am sure a lot of us will help you out to do another fantastic presentation next year.

I do believe, however, that you deserve a lot of kits and a banner for all the work you did.

Kudos to you , Sir PhilP !!!!

Thanks, Phil.  You certainly deserve more than just a 'munk for all of your efforts.  I'll have to do some search and acquire.
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.
