NARSES2

As part of an early B?Day present I got 2nd Tactical AF Vol 4 - Squadrons, Camouflage, Markings, Weapons and Tatctics (£11 cheaper at Amazon UK)

Looks brilliant but a couple of things that have stood out that deserve plastic are -

Immediate post war Typhoon with red gun barrels and nalplam tanks, the tanks are painted red oxide primer. This will suit my SEAC scenario.

Typhoons armed with a mix of AP, SAP and Fragmentation rockets.

Typhoons in service with 10/12 rockets. The inner two pylons were piggy backed, the rockets not pylons, so when fired you got two rockets attached to each other for a bigger bang. Trialed with 16 but most in service was 12.

Spit IX with Norwegian colours on the rudder

Some wonderful squadron markings on Typhoons and Tempest's immediately post war.

Finaly I neber realised that zero length rocket rails would have been fitted to RAF aircraft if the European War had continued - again useful info for my scenario out east.

Great book.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
