Steyr 1500 and other similar military vehicles

Steyr 1500/01:  Convert to a pre-VW Westfalia/ Pinzgauer  ''motorhome'' that could have been included in an Indiana Jones film, likely by his nemesis being a German machine.    

Yeah...I ordered the 1/35 kit to do exactly that.

Have a dig through, you'll find a variety of box, radio, ambulance and bus bodies that should help get that period feel.

over on ML Axis someone posted a pic of a Maultier with large house-body.  Vehicle was mostly obscurred by other gear but he said that a "clear" pic of it would be posted "soon".

John Cooper Works is the modern company founded in 2000.
The Mini Cooper was a Cooper prepped Austin Mini, the engine wasn't changed out.
Cooper used a variety of engines in his racing cars including motorcycle engines and, famously,
the Coventry-Climax inline four, which would probably fit in the Austin.

Also, if you want to rat-rod a Tilly something else to look at are the A40 Austin Gasser and Ford Anglia dragsters,
both V8 conversions of vehicles basically similar to the 'Tilly', which was itself a very simple conversion of the
Austin 10 and similar small saloons from Morris, Hillman and Standard.
