I have 5 TSR2 derivatives planned to be built in 1/48th scale.  On is a long range fighter, the F3, the other is a long range, hi-speed, recon aircraft, the Albatross.
Either design would be good as an escort fighter...

Both will be using the existing, but stretched, wing

Awesome! the Albatros looks almost like an F-108 in Configuration! Keep up the Great Work   Dan

Yes, I know, but completely unintentional.

I designed it as a British SR-71, with a top speed of mach 2.5.  It will be painted PRU blue (or similar) and have the nickname "Bluebird", in honour of the Cambell's land speed record cars.

Oh, yes, and the F3 is to be armed with Red Top and a long range AAM derivative of Martel.

Great idea though and will be looking forward to the finished model.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Cheers.  I need to clear my desk first and then start on all 5 simultaneously........probably not my best idea, lol

Quite like the idea of a TSR2 Bombcorde escort myself... lots of range, lots of performance, haul some missiles around to blow away bad guys at long range - yeah, I like that.

The two TSR2 fighter variants drawn up by BAC are both in my book - they were to carry Red Top but that's pretty short range so personally I'd tool it up with some Sparrows or Phoenixes and use the variant with the enlarged nose.

do you have any pics of these?

While not wishing to take a sale away from DamienB, have you tried a library? They can usually find most things for you.
