QuoteI can draw it that way : glazed nose for TOL, top-canopy for level flight.  :)  No ? Question for Ollie or Evan, what about the pilot's commands in this 2 position cockpit...? Possible or not ?
And here is the answer to both question at the same time :
- how to have 1 prone position and one seat-position in the same aircraft ?
- why doubling the Triebflugel ?
So... in the twin-body Triebflugel invented by dear Glenn, one fuselage has a seat for cruise and dog-fighting, the second fuselage has a prone device for take-off, landing, ground spotting/attack... :)  Almost logical !
Thanks again, dear Glenn !!! :)  :)  :) Great ideas!

And as the connection use 2 rather-big wings, I have been able to omit the rotating wings : this aircraft can use simple propellers and fuselage engines as well...

Thats fantastic Tophe!  Looks like an engineering nightmare though!

Maybe you could try one with the 2 pods further apart (so the rotating wings/engines are no longer intermeshing) and put the pilot in a central pod?

Today (Greenwich time) is tomorrow, and here is the Focke-Wulf/Nev TriebFlugel-2Z.
I have added Glenn direction to increase the size of the fins (150% = 1/48th fins on a 1/72nd model).
Thanks to both :)

Tophe,
You're madder than I am, but I like your central pod version. I'd hate to eject!

Thanks Glenn ! In my scale, you were the very top in creation, but if you think that sometimes, I am almost above, this is very great ! :)  I am happy...

Glenn, I have just received by mail your corrected drawing, and I will work on it for my own angle, but you should present it here. It is very good.
Yes, the "real" triebflugel had no fuselage engine driving propellers but rotating wings driven by jets at the tips, but what-if...

Oh yeah!

I like that Tophe  :)

After chatting with Tophe, I had an idea in my head and while watching a TV program, used an adv break to do a quick sketch of my idea.
Looking at the sketch, it looks as if the left rotor is forward of the right, well, that's ok, but originally my idea was that one of the separating wings would also house the shaft for the inter-meshing gearing system.
With the prone cockpit on one side, and on the other nose, the full weapon systems.
Don't worry, I know it looks mad, but the guys from Belview are outside.

According to me, it is not mad, but so lovely...      (as a dream, I mean - as a machine, that would be dangerous - for pilots I mean, not much for the enemy... :)  )
