Another poor old T-34, this time a complete and un built kit has succumbed to sympathetic edge of the razor saw
This time though the conversion has been a bit more civilised and has not included a cut and shut job on the hull. The hull dimesions are pretty much the same, but the turret has been omitted, to be replaced with an unmanned  auto load anti tank gun with a pair of Spiral anti tank missiles added to the offensive armament. Much use of ERA has been the thing on this tank also, and armoured side skirts fitted. I have also made it a new barrel also.
This vehicle has been fitted out as a pure anti tank vehicle and will have a 2 man crew.
I will try and get some pictures done tomorrow, just to show my progress on this thing.
Chris.
PS:  Coming soon JS-3 Enigma.....

Interesting lay-out!  :o

What do you take your pics with? It seems you're too near to the subject. The bench in the background looks pretty sharp. So try to take the pics from a little farther away (and cut to size in MS Paint or Picasa, if necessary) or use the Macro function (if available).
Cheers,
Moritz

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Hya Moritz,
I used the macro function on the camera every time, and, regardless of how far away I am from the subject it just keeps taking brilliant pictures of the background. :banghead:
When funds allow,a new decent camera will be on order. The T-34 TB is drying from its first coat, so I decided to start my next project, another old Russian tank but not a T-34 this time, something a bit bigger

yes, a new camera is definitely on the books. I only build in 72nd scale, and I have a few other pieces of armour I want to photograph.
I had the camera on macro, but I will try it without and see how they turn out.

Chris.

Chris,
Maybe you aren't close enough.  The macro on my digital makes me get to within about 1" to 1 & 1/2" to get a focused pic.  Also, it is better to have the camera on a tripod to help with the longer exposure.  Sometimes a flash will help but I find it tends to white out some of the details.

I also mainly build 72nd scale and get good pics just with auto and using the zoom to get the details (having an x18 zoom helps).

Definately looks quite an interesting product, Chris.  You get props for actually having the stones to get around to doing the tracks - My armor builds stall out on those things man.
