I'm looking for underwing fuel tanks for my Empires Twighlight Thread, something along the size of a MIG 25 or 31 store would be great . Will trade for bear vouchers or whatever i've got in my stash.

Thanks

Everything looks better with the addition of British Roundels!

Got any number of the big F-4 centreline tanks both the old 'pointy' USN/USMC type and the F-15 type that the later USAF macines carried,  if they would be any good to you, let me know.....

......BTW, what sort of Bear Vouchers do you have ? Steiff, Yogi, Rupert, Jeremy, Smokey, Brown, Grizzley, Gummy ?

Macines are and Indian tribe from the Detroit area, Aircav. They use surplus USAF droptanks as canoes when they hunt Rhinoceros on the Detroit River ice floes.....

OK CC, you have now GOT to produce a model of a hunting party in their Droptank canoes!!!!!

Always thought the the F-100 droptanks would make a very nice tin shark  ;D

Don't forget that drop tanks also make great LSR machines, just add wheels, engine, steering wheel and a seat.  Oh, brakes may be useful also.
I think we may just have to have a Drop Tank GB.  Start with any scale drop tank and turn it into a vehicle of some sort.

Now there's a neat idea! What's the largest drop tank available?

Of course it would be a case of 'Scale-O-Rama' rules OK too. Somewhere I have a 1/48 Airfix Tonka F3 with those humunguous 'Hindenberger' tanks...... ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Now that's a cracker jack idea! I have one the ever-generous Jeff Fontaine sent me that;s about the size of a cordless phone.

Here's something I built out of a 1/72 scale drop tank a while back.

That's the idea BDB.

Here is a LSR bidder

And Tim, I have a bunch of drop tanks on this side of the pond.  If you can't get what you need from the locals, let me know and I will run through them for you.

I've some nice 1/48 and 1/32 droptanks too, looks like this could be a GB

This might be an interesting GB.  I'm sure I have some spare tanks I could do something with.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

The biggest 'drop tank' I know of is in the 1/48 B-58 Hustler and wanted to make my LSR Aerosan out of it but "need'' the tank elsewhere more.

Now as to the pressed paper tanks in the Monogram P-51D kit............I claim dibs.    :drink: :drink: :drink: :drink:    No, not really, but do have an idea.

Oh yes, that's a MONSTER! Almost the same size as a Hunter I'd have thought.
