The Brown and Moore "Rebuilding the Royal Navy" book has just hit my desk mail order from Motorbooks in London.   It is the Naval equivalent of Tony Buttler's books and contains some gem line drawings.

Page 55 shows similar 1952 Fleet Carrier drawings to those in the Friedman carrier book, that is deck plans and side views showing a variety of general configurations.

Page 64 to 69 shows a whole range of mouthwatering side views of helicopter carrying ships.

This is a must have book!

Well finally recieved mine plus a copy for Tsrjoe, looks to be very interesting but yet to get down to serious reading. The flared sides to CVA-01 were a suprise though!!!!.

Not much on the submarines post Nuclear but bits on the development of the conventional sub design. Frigates and destroyers are quite good sections and the Carriers  is not too bad (would have liked to have seen more CV-52 drawings with the actual Island shape.

Also managed to get my hands on a Copy of Norman Freidmans "British Carrier Aviation", which is a rather nice book on British carriers.

Cheers
