That shot next to the ruler gave me the willies.  Then the finished shot by the quarter gave me the screaming willies.  You sir, are a master. :thumbsup:

Most impressive.  You built that model in 72 scale and used a shrink ray on it, Right?

Thanks for the comments, guys. I sprayed the flat coat on it last night and it looks a little better.

The main issues I had with this build were:

- the canopy decals - they just don't look like windows, even at this scale. Next time I scratchbuild something at this scale I'll try to make clear windows, somehow. Either the whole cockpit area will be clear, then masked off of the windows will be physical depressions in the surface.

- I probably stayed too close to the original design. I don't know how the 2064 was supposed to take off without making huge divots on the ground from the turboprop exhaust. Trying to stay close to the design made making the engines difficult to build at this scale, too - especially the props. I probably spent more time coming up with a passable engine/prop than I did on the rest of the model, including painting and decal design. I think the real thing would have been closer to the X-22, with slightly bigger ducted fans driven by fuselage mounted engines.

Are you planning to put it on a carrier?

No, I was planning on putting it on a destroyer or some sort of cargo ship.

Thanks for all the comments! I finally finished it. It looks a little better, but not my best effort.

I notice that the strain on the rear engine axle (just some plastic rod) has toed the engines in. I fixed that.
