This was my entry in the One Week Group Build. I've added it here incase anyone does not trawl the Group Build threads.

So here's the Gloster Javelin F60A

In 1956 the South African Airforce purchased 10 Gloster Javelin FAW6's rearmed with four Aden cannons and the Armstrong Siddeley Sapphire Sa.7 engines destined for the RAF's FAW7 version.

As part of the deal the SAAF required Gloster to convert the dual seater 'All weather' fighter to a single seat interceptor. Duly done Gloster renamed the FAW6 version to the F60A export version.

In July 1957 two Javelin F60As of the SAAF 2nd Squadron (the Cheetahs) were guests at the NATO 'Tiger Meet' at RAF Woodbridge at the invitation of the USAFE  79th Tactical Fighter Squadron.

More Photo's on http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,25111.0.html but here's a 'teaser'

Being of an amphibian persuation my self i resent that remark. Frogs singular are madder, and are incapable of thinking inside the box.

It is fairly nuts as paintjobs go however
