Can we have an extension? My build for this GB is proving to be very work-intensive, and I'm not at all sure I'll be able to finish it by the end of the month.

I prostrate myself before the mods, in the hope they may show lenience...

Brian asked me earlier in a pm but I couldn't find the thread to reply. But I will now take my first action as moderator since this group build began:

After considered study and reflective contemplation, and taking all factors into account, it is my considered opinion that we must be faithful to the spirit of all group builds before us. That is, an extension is almost normal! Therefore I hereby decree that a one (1) month extension is added, with no further extensions whatsoever*.

Thank God (and the Rat of course!) for that extension! You may not believe this but....... I sat on my floaty thing at 3AM this morning!! :banghead: I was really, really tired OK!

There's at least one joke in there and I'm not going near it.

I have paced myself to complete my "floaty" in time for the original April 30 deadline.

If my luck holds (I had a scare--something went wrong that was gonna take either two minutes OR five hours to fix depending on my luck---it took two minutes!!), I will complete my Grumman Gander "floaty thing" today or tomorrow.

HOWEVER, since I am retired and have myself forsaken deadlines as as a work-related annoyance, and that we are all here to ENJOY our craft and need no extra anxiety beyond the usual marathon PSR, misfitting parts, flash, instructions in gibberish, and paint bottles that refuse to open, I will not protest an extension.

So, good luck pyro-maniac, and I hope too much "life" doesn't get in the way of a good build!

Thanks for the prompt reply and the extra month, Rat-San! This will hopefully help others as well as myself get their entries in.

Hmmm...

I did have this idea but figured there wasn't enough time when this GB began.

Hmmm... (looks at calendar again; could he pull off a minor PSR miracle by May 31st?)

Many thanks! I will finish by the end of May.

BdB, you said, "Thanks for the prompt reply and the extra month, Rat-San! This will hopefully help others as well as myself get their entries in."

When I looked back at your fabulous "Carling" and "Bayleen" entries for this GB, there was something mentioned there about a third entry, that we have yet to see. Coming soon?? You have been "quiet" lately, in the modeling field, in contrast to your normal prolific proclivity. Heck, you could be a "group build" all by yourself! <_<

I'd gotten so glum over the (un) likelihood of being able to post pics that I hadn't looked in for awhile. This gives
me some hope, anyhow-thanks, Rat-you're a gentleman and a skeptic!

If you knew me well you would be skeptical of me being a gentleman. ;D
