Thanks for the comments.  I agree about the nose on the blue one; that was one of my first attemps at kitbashing over 30 years ago.  I seem to recall adding pieces of drop tanks to create ECM blisters on the nose, and the pointed nose came from some other kit.   I also built a 'cat with a cut down rear decking and bubble canopy, but that bit the dust some time ago.

The idea of a Russian T cat is excellent; one configured as a fast attack tank buster would look great.  Next cat that I get will probably have that scheme.

My current kick is making big winged F-104s by combining F-16 wings and tail to a '104.  Three are done, and I have three '104s currently on order from Dean's Hobby Stop.

I **HAD** a pair of Tigercats, both an Aoshima and Monogram, that were going to be made into an "executive transport" with a long greenhouse canopy (extended Avenger-type), and one that was going to be a RW guide a/c for the orange Hellcat flying bombs.

(SIGH) "Had" to sell them off a while back.

Good to see yours!
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

The Monogram F7F was my first attempt to kit bash. It was very easy to make a 2 seater, I just used a razor saw to cut one fuselage just in front of the windscreen, and then combine it with another fuselage.  This resulted in a pretty fair tandem seat aircraft; however it was a bit longer than the actual 2 seater, IIRC.  I don't believe the real aircraft was stretched to make room for the back seat.  Not bad for 1977 technology, for me, however.  After all, its a What if World.  I believe that I used engine nacelles and props from a Monogram B-26 (about 1/67 scale), and thought that perhaps these could represent R-3350s.

This completed model, and another one in dark green and black (with "Lady in the Dark" decals pirated from a P-61) were pretty succesful and a lot of fun to do.

GTX

IJAAF or IJN would also look cool.

Here is Lady in the Dark, a 2 seat mod, built in 1977 and still surviving after 32 years of moving all over the country.
