Lockheed Cardinal Heliplane CH.1 with photos

I've tried looking for this build but couldn't remember what I had called it, hence the name change.
It must have started life as a 1/72 Lockheed C-130 and I must have bought two Mil-26 Halo kits as they now form the rotor stacks. The rotor blades are from the Being V-22 Osprey kit. A pair of B-52G engines are sit on top of a pair of wings from a Su-47 kit. It has a new nose cut from the BAe Tempest UVA and the FLIR pod is also from the same kit but I don't have all the parts to build the original model. In the nose wheel well is quite a lot of ballast, even so I made a skid that fits towards the rear of the fuselage out of a spare plastic tyre.
The Cardinal Heliplane would be used for salvage operations, SAR, CSAR, transportation and other heavy lift duties.

Slight change, the wings have been removed and the two B-52G engines now cover the gap where the original kit wings would have been attached.

This morning I glued the side blisters from the 1/72 Boeing B-52G kit and did some sanding It's had a new nose job, the nose cone from the F-111B.

Another change this time parts taken from the 1/72 airmodel TSK Kit 102 sporting the Lockheed H C-130H comes dome and Filton Nose cone. There's instructions for the scratchbuilding of the prongs and side windows as well as the cockpit canopies for the Lockheed F-80 C Shooting Star & Convair F-106 B Delta Dart.
PSR has already used up one tube of Revell filler.

I don't think the Fulton nose would work with rotors overhead. It's meant to catch a cable attached to a ballon or parachute. It's your build so make the story fit the model. Carry on!

I'm not going to fit the Fulton gear on this build.
