"Lusaka Tower, this is Green Leader..."

The artwork reminds me of the American action-adventure comic strip created by cartoonist Milton Caniff called Terry and the Pirates.  Or his later work in a comic strip called Steve Canyon.  Both of these comic strips had a lot of aviation related adventures during their daily installments in the newspapers.

I found the site as I was looking for info on 'Tanguy et Laverdure' - The Aeronauts http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanguy_et_Laverdure & http://bdoubliees.com/journalpilote/series4/tanguy.htm

When I was young I used to watch The Tv series translated into English, happy days.

I even had this Annual...http://bearalley.blogspot.com/2007/05/tanguy-et-laverdure-aeronauts.html

Yeah, I remember that show as well.

I just picked up a copy of that album from, of all things, a stall at a biker rally!
