A truly OLD F-5

Just happened to find this old pic.  It was the first or second model I ever airbrushed, back when I got into model-building the second time.

I think the plain tarmac-without-a-background gives it a sort of surreal look.

And an old Skyhawk with my first painted background.  This Skyhawk was done around the same time as the F-5.  Another one of my first attempts at airbrushing.

Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

How is it your old stuff looks better than my new stuff?

Really like the first pic of the Skyhawk!  Looks like it was taken on the flight-line in some hot climate so the background is all hazy.
Love the camo!
Cheers,

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Having seen a lot of Barry's 'old' (and new) models in the flesh I have often wondered that myself
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike
