Not a Sea Harrier!  Next to the Flying Bedstead, this Harrier appears to be a GR.1 in RN colours.  Evaluation machine, one of the Kestrels, a mock up, or was there a GR.1 used as a Sea Harrier development aircraft?

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

ISTR that it was either a GR.1 or a Kestrel that was painted in FAA markings and used for deck handling training.  The more interesting whif would be the "Maritime Harrier" nose (radar nose fitted to a standard GR.1/3 airframe) which was trialed on a DB Harrier GR.1; I'm thinking such a nose would've been perfect for a radar-equipped Harrier trainer.

Looking at the tail and the intakes I'd say its a Kestrel

Steve's right..its a Kestrel.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.
