After hacking the nose off my Academy OV-10D, I had the wings, booms and tail of the Bronco left over.

Then I started comparing parts sizes, and an hour or so (and much cutting) later I had this:

Yep. Matchbox Meteor NF.12 center fuselage, Airfix Gazelle cockpit. After all, not all COIN is blasting the baddies to hell; sometimes you have to find 'em first.

Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part...

Like this, a warlike version of the Edgley Optica!  Looking forward to seeing more.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Cool.  Looks like a twin=engined Edgely Optica (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edgley_Optica).  Don't know about COIN work, but good police and armed ISTAR platform (would the RAF have these instead of the Beech Shadows and the Diamond TwinStars, I wonder?).  Manned alternative to Predator/Reaper?  ;D ;D

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

That looks excellent rallymodeller! Might have to try and nick this idea too!

[sigh] Wish I was this brilliant.  Perfect amalgamation of bits and pieces.  Hope to see more of this one's progress and soon.

I've sometimes thought about using the Mid fuselage from a two seat Do 335 & turning into a gunship....

That tail end cries out for some sort of turret.
