World Wide WIFF GB Anyone?

Guys, saw an interesting twist on the GB idea across at the Airfix GB on Hyperscale. Basically a group of modellers are building a Lockheed Hudson between them, with one doing the interior, one the exterior detailling, one the painting etc. Twist is that they are spread out across the world and all the components are going to end up with an assembler who will put it all together for display in an upcoming Model Show.

Sooo . . . .

Would anyone be interested in a variation on this for us? What I had in mind was that someone would start off with a donor kit (say by example it was a flying WIFF) and do the interior detailing, then pack the whole thing off to the next person in the chain who would then assemble / shape / modify the fuselage, onto the next one for motive and lifting devices and attachment, on to the next one for weapons, and then to the next for markings and camo. Each person would have total control of whatever bit they were doing, and subsequent people could not change it. You would then get something that was the product of perhaps 8 twisted imaginations instead of one!

We could make it a long term GB, giving each link say a month to receive, complete and send off the next bit. The build threads would be way interesting. We could even coordinate it to end up doing a display at one of the shows somewhere.

I've got a couple of kits I'd be happy to kick off two team with if anyone thinks it's worth a try.

Any takers ?  ;D

I had mentioned something like this earlier except the difference was the subassemblies would be built and sent all over the world for painting, as a little test to see how we all see colors differently. Your idea sounds a lot more fun!

I would be up for it

With all the "what part BLANK country are you from" threads we could probably get a little friendly competition going between nations if wanted as well.

Something like this going on at Starship Modeler I think, but I've not really been following it.

I like the idea, however I fell I'd let the side down somehow by participating. I have not the skill level.
There are no good kits, bad kits or grail kits, just kitbash fodder.
