DELFTship Marine Hull Form CAD Software

DELFTship from the Netherlands is a purveyor of Marine Hull form CAD Software and they just happen to have a free version of the same software the sell for commercial endeavors that is available for private use.  

It is a 6.4mb file that you can download from their web page after becoming a member by providing a user name/password and an eMail address.  It only takes a moment or two and the end result is access to over 200 hull form on the web page that you can download and modify to suit your own needs.  Everything from a Kayak to a Super Tanker are available as download files. Kind of nice to have such a wonderful resource available that is FREE.  Did I mention that this is a free CAD program?  

Anyway, you might ask, "what is it good for?"  Well that depends on your own creativity and abilities.  Some people such as the person that provided the link on Airship Modeller actually use it to create airships which I thought was brilliant.  So with a bit of imagination you can use it for something other than marine hull forms.  Airships are kind of like submarines in the general shape so why not?
