once upon a time ... there was also a smaller scale (poss 1/60 as it was bigger than the Airfix Gazelle!) 'Blue Thunder' avaliable from a Japanese company!
I did have one (obtained from Comet Miniatures for about £8.00, pretty expensive back then!) but alas broken up years ago (i still have its fuselage somewhere tho!)

might be worth seeking out nowadays tho...it made into a nice model...either that or a mod of the Airfix kit may suffice!
