My wallet weeps everytime Thorvic and I have a chat. Of course, the financial ache is usually forgotten by the time the kit arrives.

Mine runs away screaming  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thinking of painting one of these red 'cos they're like buses: none for ages then two come along at once....

Got another one! This is a Polish (?) vacform by someone called Modelland(?). To say I'm no lover of vacforms would be an understatement, but it was ridiculously cheap, i.e. about one TENTH the price of the S-model resin one.

Are you still interested in the Encore kit?  I have been thinking of cutting down the stash so if the price was right, might give it up.

PM me if interested.

I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

The S-Model resin kit showed up today.

Exploiting the nature of resin kits, it comes in an exceedingly small box, which probably explains why the postage was only £4 from Poland.

Looks nice enough in the box. It includes two vac-form canopies with reasonable detail, two simple but in-register decal sheets for three Greek aircraft and Polish instructions with only a few essential bits having a English translation. The resin itself looks decent, with only a very occasional bubble, but it has quite a bit of flash, including "feathering" on thin edges. The supplied parts are quite comprehensive, but you do have to find some very fine rod sections, which is fair enough. The wheels are supplied with separate, 2-piece spats, so you can build it with or without them, which is a nice touch. One potential problem that strikes me is that there doesn't seem to be any way to positively locate the cowling onto the fuselage, although this might be easier with the engine in place.

Sorry Philip, I've only just noticed this. I think I've got enough now, but thanks for the offer.
