>What's the monster 4 blade prop you've added to it please? That's seriously meaty!<

My construction notes (thirty years old!) say the "Fore!"-blader came from an Airfix F"Fore!"U Corsair. The passenger bubble canopies came from an LS "Nell" Bomber.

The plane is meant to be 1/72, but was made (DUH!) from a Gee Bee racer (Hawk? Pyro?) in 1/48.

The Granville Brothers, maker of the "Gee Bee" racing planes, put THE BIGGEST ENGINE they could find in the smallest airframe they could manage. The Gee Bees were EXTREMELY hard to fly, and Jimmy Doolittle (of the Tokyo Raiders fame) became famous as one of the few pilots who could manage.
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!
