I didn't actually build these, so the mods may wish to relocate the thread, and may do so if they wish.  I just didn't want to clutter up the "Stash Growing" thread.

All of the photos were taken with a new 2009 penny to give a sense of size.  First up, the birds I can definitely identify.

The PBM

Skywarriors

Banshees

Sabres/Furies

Cutlasses

Cutlasses with folded wings (I shot them in the round so you could see them from different angles.  They're a bit crude, but definitely F7Us)

Tigers

HUPs

Unknown #1.  Thought these were supposed to be F-86s, then I found the others.

Unknown #2.  Thought these were radar-nosed Sabres or MiGs, but I'm not sure anymore.

Haven't decided what to do with these yet.  I may part them out to interested parties.  I know some of you have postwar carrier builds on the go, so let me know if you're interested in any of them.  Better still, if anyone knows whence these come from, I'd appreciate the info.

FWIW, I say the first unknowns are MIG-15s.

fallenphoenix

I'd say Mig-15/17's and Bell X-1's?

With a low set tailplane, NOT Mig15/17, although the wings look right for the 15.
With swept wings, NOT Bell X-1.
Other than that I have no idea what they are meant to represent.

Cats are not real.
They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

I have an exactly identical Skywarrior and HUP (the helicopter thing) that came with my dads USS Ranger model. I think it was either Revell or Airfix.

Sauragnmon

The first ones could almost be MiG's or La's, with that big flat nose that's what they feel like in my mind, the early Russian jets with the big splitter in the open nose.  As to the second, from this angle, they look more like the early Yak jets, like the Feather, with that long, sloped nose to an intake, with the belly burning exhaust hidden underneath or not even detailed.

Overkill? Nah, it's Insurance.  So are the 20" guns.
