As the subject suggests, I'm looking for a RAF Lifeboat....like the ones used in WW2 and after, dropped from aircraft, for ship wrecks and downed aircrew. It will finish the Avro Essex.

Glenn, Paragon do a resin Lifeboat for a B-17 in both 1/72 & 1/48.  US rather than British, but might do?  Hasegawa do an ASR.III version of their Lancaster with a lifeboat, but it's pricey if that's all you want from it.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

IPMS-USA has a few images of the 1/72nd scale Hasegawa Lancaster ASR.3 kit as a built model showing the lifeboat in good detail in a couple of the images.

Doesn't sombody (Academy?) do an ASR B17 with the lifeboat? (Not sure if it's the same boat, but I think it is...)

The US lifeboats (built by Higgins) are not the same as the various series of Uffa Fox airborne lifeboats used by the UK.
To the best of my knowledge the boat in the Hasegawa kit is the only rendition of the Fox lifeboat that has been done.

I was in contact with the folks at Uffafox.com a few years back inquiring about plans for the lifeboats (evidently they
have hundreds of drawings of the various types), however they were in the midst of moving house at the time
and I never received a plan listing.

Maybe its time to try again.  ;D
