Have you ever had that eureka moment?

When you're puzzling something out and inspiration just leaps at you. I was thinking out loud 'why doesn't anyone make inflight refueling probes and sell them to the mass market?' When I came across some .2mm plastic rods. With a little bit of sanding and a bit of paint they could be used for my UK Whiffs such as;
The Br1150 Atlantic MK5 in RAF colours/markings
Lockheed Orion P-3 in RAF colours/markings

Unless of course I buy the entire stock of the Airfix Lightning MK6 or does anyone else know of a better inflight refueling probe outlet?

If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Captain Canada

If you chop the seeker off of an LGB and glue it to the end of a plastic rod it makes a decent looking probe.

Cheers !
