AX-2

A question: To scratch build this model (quite similar to a british proposal whose name I do not remember), with which models would you begin?

I would say that AX-2 is quite similar -config and perhaps dimensions- to this british. P.106 maybe?
What do you think

How about a X-29 or F-20 backend as a basis, with possibly a Gripen fwd fuselage as a starting point ?

Gripen is the first choice IMHO. X-29 is an interesanting idea.

If you were to take the hump off a Hawk for the mid to rear fuselage it would look about right.

below are the P.106 & P.112

Wow, the back half of the P.112 is an F-106.

If you can get an ALR piranha model, you´ll need only slight modifications... I remember seeing that pictures in an OOOLD issue of Aviation Revue magazine in the late 80s  ;D

Was that rectangle behind the P.112's landing gear bay door a PCB nozzle?
To the individual soldiers, *everything* is a frontal assault!
