okay, this is the second plane i will be building, im thinking west-german navy markings.
as noted earlier, i think the Do228 forms the perfect basis for a carrier based transport plane.

modifications that im thinking of include a tailhook, front landing wheels from a 1/72 S-2 Tracker, folding wings, higher rear landinggear struts and maybe a rear cargo ramp.
the model i will be using is a revell 1/72 Do228 kit, with parts from a hasegawa 1/72 US-2B tracker.

here's a pic of the kit

I like the idea.   A lot actually.

there's been a change of plan.

i decided not to navalise the Do228, as the redesign of the rear landinggear would be to intense.
instead, i have decided to Revive the Argentine Navy SU-22K, witch was intended to be build for the 2007 Falklands war GB.

the kit itself (Mastercraft 1/72 SU-22 Fitter) has barely even started, all that was build was the cockpit instruments and the wings, nothing more.
since the kit is largely unbuild, i think it is still eligable to enter, color scheme will be the same as the Argenine Super Etendard.

below are 2 pictures of the progress made so far, nothing much

UPDATE:

the 2 fuselage parts have been glued together, the cockpit has aso been fitted.
prior to the fitting, the sides of the cockpit have been painted in soviet light blue
