Here is the other little model that has kept me busy lately, the VERY old 1/72 scale Italeri Fw 190D-9.
This model has been in my stash for well over twenty years and its not that bad of a kit but my kit had very badly outward warped fuselage halves and had to be carefully glued together in stages starting with the tail and slowly working my way forward. This process took a few days to do but the glue joints held up to the stress long enough to get the wings and nose glued on. The rest of the build went very easy after that.
I used Eagle Cals for the markings of ''white 17'' and those of you who have Vol. 1 of Jerry Crandall's Dora book will recognize this aircraft.

Another brilliant looking bird, matrixone!

I need to show my building buddy some of these shots.  He's been stuck on a VERY temperamental Eduard FW-190 I gave him for his birthday.  It's really been a discouraging kit, which really surprised me--the other Eduards I've built were great.  But maybe showing him some of your stuff will give him some motivation.

Thanks for the kind words noxioux!

After reading about others finding the Eduard kit to pain to build I decided to pass on it, there are just too many other kits out there that fit better than the Eduard kit for me to bother with it. But I am VERY interested in the upcoming Eduard Fw 190D-11/13 release...I can make some good what-if types with that kit.
I do have the Eduard Bf 110E kit and it has a LOT of parts in it, maybe too many parts since some of the cockpit and weapons will not really be seen on the finished model and I hate putting any more work into a model than is really needed.
