.....please....I was in a modelzones today n saw some lovely box artwork on Airfix kits, new style red box. A few questions as I have done a limited search on interweb n the mags I subscribe to ain't clear.....is the Mig 15 in a red box a new tool? Is the Yak a new tool? The two Sea Harrier kits (love the artwork on the Falklands FRS1) are they new tools? Saw a few others in new red boxes n v reasonably priced....F4U boxart looked lovely....many thanks in advance...H

Both Sea Harriers and the MiG15 are new tools, Yak9 and F4U are the same old kits as usual.

Only the Mig 15 and Sea harriers are new tools, the others are reboxing of the earlier kits with new box art and decals. Ensure you get the proper new format Mig-15 as the OLD (and i mean Old) kit was around till recently. Falcon has posted a pic of the box art in the new stash thread.

Many thanks for the replies,Mig 15 looked like it was worth buyin for decal option alone,FRS1 boxart is great n prob get it for that reason (silly I know but main reason for gettin airfix when a kid was awesome boxart) I had read that a new tool Mig15 was coming out, just wanted to be sure before opening the box to find the aweful old one....

The Yak-9 is the old kit, mine has a date moulded into the inside of the fuselage - 1963. But the decal sheet is good.
