Just a small point on the 1/72 to 1/76 scale thing, be careful. If you look at a Hasegawa 1/72 Sherman it is enormous compared to the 1/76 Fujimi kit ! Might be a case of different manufacturers measuring differently, but be carefull if matching vehicles of differing scales - I think putting 1/76 with 1/72 aircraft should be no problem though.

Great Pics by the way Nick
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

QuoteTanker looks great, Nick.  Time for a mini-diorama for that vehicle and a plane to service?
Thanks for all the support guys! I will look carefully at mixing up 1/72 and 1/76 scales but I guess that with different vehicles no-one should notice (and to them as do, I say  :P !).

I plan to use my vehicles as background for different scenarios but first I need to establish suitable dates and stuff. I got Glencoes Bristol Sycamore helo on Sunday with the idea of having it flying over the Saladin and Saracen on exercise somewhere.

Well, I was thinking of mixing some 1/35 stuff with my 1/32 Tornado........

Even within scales you get variations in size, and some manufacturers are reknowned for their stuff being comparatively "big" or "small"  eg Verlindens 1/35 figures are almost always nearer 1/32.  Or they just depict really tall people!

QuoteTophe! Tophe, can you hear me? Heres a zwilling for you as seen on the East Sussex clubstand. I think this was a beautiful display full of detail.
Oh sorry, Nick, I have not been here till today. First I saw pictures of only tanks and guns and I thought there would be no incraft involved in this topic (what I respect as well, each one of us have different focus). Wrong : aircraft were coming, and even Zwillings, and a great model of Zwilling  ! Congratulations, Nick, and thanks a lot for posting it... :)
By the way, did you know that some He 111Z have been tested with 3 engines too ? I suppose the 2 external were discarded for balance, but as 3 were enough (as long as there was no glider tug), could you imagine different from my provisional drawings ? Just tell me...

This is what happened to my AirJeep model. Fritz is 240x280mm and made from fibreglass with the body of the AirJeep in the centre.
I'm glad I had the model to butcher, but don't tell Glenco!

'zactly.  I, for one, have never met four people at the same time who were precisely the same height, let alone overall mass.  Mix it up as required!

Hi Nick

I picked up the JB 1 tonne Landrovers (GS & Ambulance) as well as the 105mm gun. In the 105 you get two sprues so you get two guns, you also get two types of barrel, the longer version used by the Brits and the original shorter version thats used by the yanks. Not a bad little kit really, ideal for a helo/osprey/rotodyne external load !!!.

Cheers
