Focke Wulf Ta-183 A1 Hückebein

since i still have a lot of luft46 models in stash, i thought i might get some build, just to slim the stash.

so last night i started on this 1/72 PM Model Ta183. its quite a nice kit, not to many parts (unfortunatly, cockpits only a seat and a stick), in other words, perfect for a quickbuild.
the decals that came with this kit were only crosses and swastika's, but no serials or squadron markings. so i browsed through the spare decals box and salvaged some from a FW flitzer, FW190 and F-4F.

this model has been painted in desert tan, and is painted as "Swartze 18" and carries the markings of JG2 "Richthofen", based in north africa in summer 1946.

i know, but it was the only JG2 emblem i had in the stash.
was gonna take a JG1 emblem, but i already had 2 aircraft with that emblem  

im gonna start looking out for the Revell/Dragon-DML kit, as the PM one lacks detail and X-4 missiles

I like that, one of the few German aircraft that I like actually.  

I built the PM model too, but I enhanced it a bit, added a FW.190 resin cockpit, bit of aluminum tube for the exhaust, things like that.  I attempted a different painting method for the mottle colour, it didn't come out to good though.
