I've been playing the Total War series since the day Shogun was releases wayyyyyy back on 1998.  I shudder to think how much of my life has been spent playing those games (currently playing the Third Age mod (LOTR)).

In Rome:Total War, their flag symbol is

According to Peter Connolly http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Connolly, that crescent moon was a prevalent cathaginean symbol. However, according to some other studies, based on coin designs, other carthaginean symbols would be a palm tree and a horse.

But the point are my spare decals (so prosaic):
- Crescent moon can be acheived with Pakistan markings
- Palm tree from Afrika Korps markings
- Horses or, maybe, elephants are harder

How about the 100 Years' War fought with ....wait for it.... Gundams!  I mean, it's kinda obvious, right? People clad in iron fighting with swords!

Think about a Gundam in medieval heraldic colours!  :o
Cheers,
Moritz

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Interesting.  However, how would a Gundam look like in Roman markings?  For that matter in Mongol markings?  I have seen some mobile suits in whatever the Anime artists believe is an European Royalty marking (exp: Code Geass).

World War 2.R anyone?
I had plans to build a whole range of WW2.R stuff, but only got as far as the TommyBot MK.1 (although I did start work on the paratrooper version and I have accumulated various kits to use for further builds)
There are no good kits, bad kits or grail kits, just kitbash fodder.

Seriously, there's some awesome promises in here.  Wicked stuff really.
Putty-fu, Scratch-jutsu and Bash-chi, the sacred martial arts of the What-If. Mastering them, is Ancient Chinese Secret.

Just your friendly neighbourhood Mad Scientist and Ship-whiffer.

Overkill? Nah, it's Insurance.  So are the 20" guns.

Fulcrum

What about exchange the tanks used in WW2 with some modern/gulf war-era tanks?
The Allies would have the T-72(cheap, mass-produced, light & quick, & liable to explode when hit just like the M-4 Sherman), while the Axis would use the M-1 Abrams(expensive, few, heavily armed & armoured & depending on "ball bearings" from Sweden/China just like the Tiger tank).
Fulcrums Forever!!!
