Some nice subjects there, if a bit on the pricey side. Never knew Rolls Royce did guns. Would be interesting to place that 3 inch AA cannon on page 3 or 4 on a tank...

Rolls-Royce 40mm cannons weren't terribly successful.  They were trialled on Tempests for tankbusting. I think their real problem was that they were built by Rolls-Royce to Rolls-Royce standards, rather than they were necessarily a bad weapon.   :lol:    A few ended up on MGBs but only a handful were produced.

The one advantage the Rolls Royce gun had over the Vickers "S" was an increase in amunition load. Can't remember from memory but it was something like 34/36 rounds compared to 15 ?
