Hey Guys, Awhile ago, i started Build a Model of the EE Lightning F6 as a 'Mystery' Fighter. Has Anyone Ever built a Model of a Fighter,Bomber,Transport,Etc. as a Mystery Plane? By 'Mystery Plane' i mean 1 solid color with No National Markings to say where the Plane is from. Has Anyone tried that? Thanks for looking.Dan

My first 2 JJ-7/FT-7 paper model prototypes have no national marking. They're just grey. I later added serial numbers at the base of the rudder (01 & 02). Prototype 4 is in chinese colors. Prototypes 3 and 5-7 are in my WHIF air force colors.

My 2nd F-5A prototype started its life as a grey aircraft with a white rudder sporting the markings "T3" (I didn't build prototype T2). I later added 2 letters under the cockpit (registration), the flag on my WHIF country on the rudder, and colored that part in the same grey as the rest of the plane. It didn't stay anonymous for very long.

I did a whole slew of Black Helicopters (overall Humbrol 85) with just a three digit serial number in white on the side. Bo105's with a rocket pod and gun fitted to the sides, Dauphins with a swing out .50 cal gun door mount, a BK117 and a couple of Huey's. The idea started out as doing some Police choppers from Liberty Island surrounding Manhatten Island Prison in Escape from New York but I never did the sheild markings as they were needed imeduiately to go to war (-games!).  ;D
