Two pics of the long time coming Mirage F-1. AS you can see I went with the Rhodesian option.

From the early days of the African  Kaleidoscope wars . These were the last few weeks of the old  roundels, there being a shift back to the old (non British style) insignia., after the UK refused to sell aircraft for use in the war,the F-1s being supplied from Morocco (via France)
Note the fin flash having already the old markings superimposed. ............The shape of things to come
The tail markings giving the world the first knowledge that many of the airforces  involved were using CIA and world mercenary pilots. This marking having first been seen as nose art on a CIA piloted  B-26 during  an earlier African "bushfire war".

Hopefully some more pics later.

Very nice Alan,
What kit/scale is it? I have 2 of the revell and an early Hasegawa one in the stash all in 1/72nd scale.
Cheers

That does look good Alan
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thanks guys. Chris the Hasegawa F-1 is a nice kit a bit sharper mouldings than the Airfix and Esci kits and for me the      F-1seems to fit into most/ all Wif sceneriors.
Their are some who say it is not a nice looking plane ...............................but we know THEY should be burnt as witches.

The Rodesian markings look great on that camo, Dork! The squadron badge is icing on the cake! Very well done!

I have always thought that the F1 was a really good looking aircraft, and your model, with the superb finish and markings, really looks great!!

I did a few F1s in USAF and Navy markings several months ago, but yours beats mine hands down.
