One intake is sufficient Tophe, just like some Russian birds...

...and you can get rid if the intake atop the fuselage.....it's in the nose !

Given the susceptibility of early engines, especially those with axial compressors, to inlet distortion, I rather think the shorter the inlets the better, making the Do.435Z a four-engined aircraft with two nose engines and two aft engines.
