Wasn't certain where to put this so it's gone here.

These were sent to me by Radish (the origional source to Terry is Chris Ayre) and I thought they warrented a little wider circulation  ;D

Quote from Chris Ayre "As it's the BoB 70th this year, the 2 Tucano display aircraft are being painted in these colours - 92 and 66 Sqns both took part in the Battle and both were based at Linton at some point in their history!"

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Mossie

Fantastic!  I work close to Linton & often see their Tucanos, so I'll be keeping an eye out.  I've occasionally seen them in come over in a three ship 'Vic' formation.  Being a similar size & shape to WWII fighters, it always makes me think of early Battle of Britain footage before they changed to 'Finger Four' formation.  I've sometimes wondered about puttin a Tuc in wartime camo, guess it won't be a whiff anymore!

I vaguely remember Apophenia or Electric Blue doing a photo bash on these lines?
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

lancer

Well don't they look gorgeous!!! Actually, evwery moden RAF type I've seen in BoB colour schemes look 100% better than in thier modern colour schemes. Must put a new Tiffie in WW2 colours!!
If you love, love without reservation; If you fight, fight without fear - THAT is the way of the warrior

If you go into battle knowing you will die, then you will live. If you go into battle hoping to live, then you will die

Spotted this one at the Cosford show last year, not BoB, but pretty nice!

Awesome.  The Hawk looked incredible last year

Thought about a Bomber Command Tornado in retro colours  :tornado:

Tucano profiles excellent!  Look even better as 112 Sqn sharkmouthed Mustang IV-a-likes.
Regarding Bomber Command GR4 - had the same idea rattling around for ages - specifically a What If? future 617 Sqn anniversary scheme.  Don't know when I'd get round to it, so please somebody else do it and get the idea out of my head!!!! ;D ;D

How do you carry an Upkeep mine on a Tonka?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

You could always do a Wellington in modern low-viz camo and small blue and pink roundels  ;D
BTW, 617 Sqn was formed on the 21 March 1943
