Personally, this news really proves that there are some self-inflated, over-opionated so-and-sos out there in modelling.  Given that, at the end of the day, it is a hobby makes it all the more galling.  Terry did some great work and I think the armour modelling community will feel his loss once the realisation sets in.

Adding to the fact that a major company (ie: Dragon) was one of the instigators of all of this leaves such a bad taste.  I always had a lot of time for Dragon's products, their Quartermaster series and figures have always been brilliant, but this incident colours my thoughts on their products rather strongly.

Hm, yes.  >:(

One's tempted to say that if they couldn't stand the criticism perhaps they should be putting more effort into making better models?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Last time I buy a Dragon kit

Their ridiculous pricing has already done for me anyway.  £50 for a 1/35 Sherman, £20 for a 1/72 Tiger!!!

I must admit that it was a Dragon 1/72 armour kit that had the honour of being the first kit I ever rejected on price grounds  :banghead: A couple of Italeri kits have since had that honour as well unfortunately although there have been some signs of a more common sense approach from them lately
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Terry Ashley has recently reopened his Perth Military Modelling Site Blog and added some new comments that give the impression he will be opening up the Perth Military Modelling Site again shortly but with a few changes.  I will leave that interpretation to you as to what that implies.

***Update: 20100326*** Perth Military Modelling Site is now open.
