Well, it's my first winter diorama.  Hope you like the final version of this Lend-Lease Soviet Arctic fighter c/w "snowflake" tempera camo applied in the field.  If you haven't seen the prior two incarnations of this airframe, feel free to go back a few pages in this thread.

Couple of close-ups of the snowskis in situ:

And the whole subject against a dreary Siberian winter sky:

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Way cool!

How did you apply the snow camo?
Cheers,

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

You sir, are a genius   I also would like to know how the camo was applied.

Thanks, guys!  I was showing this thread to a coworker today and she was amazed at how supportive you folks are.  I told her "that's one of the best things about this What If website."

The camo was Testors Acryl Camo grey applied with a "regular" size microbrush (three coats for each white bit).  www.microbrush.com

Very easy!

Great modelling! I particularly like the ski detail and the subtle US marking overpainting.
