While nosing around the mighyt Moose Harris Empire in all it;s newly word-pressed glory, I have found that the Falcon Squadron site has been heavily updated and is now full o' goodness including several complete stories!
For those not in the know, Johnny Red was a strip appearing in 'Battle' an English comic and a stablemate to 2000AD. Red himself was an English fighter pilot who ended up in Russia, leading a russian fighter squadron. The art is quite good and you can recognise all the planes, tanks etc. with out any trouble. Could be great for whiffery!

There are links at the bottom to Moose's other sites - I find his sites on STARLORD (with complete scans of all the strips therein) and ACTION (with lots of discussion about this infamous comic's history of violence and censorship) to be excellent. But then, I am both a comic fan and a media teacher...
There are no good kits, bad kits or grail kits, just kitbash fodder.

I was quite a fan of Johnny Red when I was a kid.  My brother used to get Battle (& then Battle Action Force as it became), but I think I read it more than he did.  My friend used to get Commando comic libraries too, I'd swap them for my Beanos & pick up huge amounts of them from Jumble sales.

I've found that site before & managed to get through some of the earlier stuff I never saw as a kid, saying that I don't really remember any details of the stories.  Like you say, it's changed a bit although most stories where there before.

McGreig did a version of Johnny Red's 'Ghost' Hurricane, I can find the build thread, but not the finished version (I think I remember him finishing it):

BaderBusCompany did a few profiles of Johnny Red's Falcon Squadrons aircraft:

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
