I've been working off and on in Newfie for four years now.....

Well, sort of. My father didn't want his sons making a living from the sea. The writing was on the wall as it were in the 60's He got on as a weather man and went a bunch of places, but when university time came around for my oldest sibling, we moved to Halifax so he could attend university. He became a scientist for DND and developed a bunch of neat stuff and fixed a bunch of broken stuff. Me, I went into advertising as a creative type, got tired of being a prostitute after 20 years and took up teaching in highschool as a way of saying I'm sorry to the world.
Mind you, I've fished and the like, but my father was right. NF is a wonderful place, but like my dad, I don't hold much hope for her future.
