Several different companies offer modern USN carrier decks.  I wonder, where there any significant differences between RN and USN carrier decks?  Number, type, distribution of tie down points?   Methods of tying down aircraft?  Also, what sort of deck aircraft equipment would we have seen in the 1950-60s on RN carriers?

Does anybody know any good or even bad references?

To start with, RN decks were GREEN in the 60s. Very distinctive.
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

Interesting.  Any pictures around?  I seem to remember Grey.
