Now there's an idea - with the black and yellow stripes of a target tug or a hi-viz drone. But I do like the idea of a recce drone - with a canoe for the cameras/sensors, and the RC kit in the nose with a few antennas hmmmmm! ;-)

You could turn it into a re-usable recon drone with cameras replacing the warhead - that would justify tactical markings as well as mission markings.  Same goes as a training target drone for gunners.

I'd started an Italeri He 111H-22 with the V-1 as a drone carrier.  Status - currenty rotting in a box,

Might not even need that - have it pre-programmed just like the real world early recon drones.  Just have some camera windows (possibly one forward and a couple downward.  Maybe add a couple of chutes and skid to for landing.

Not very practical for recce though?  You could hear that engine for miles!

one guy built a Scud launcher on an E-100 chasis.  A version with V-1 & extra boost rockets on a short ramp ??
you may as well all give up -- the truth is much stranger than fiction.

I'm not sick ... just a little unwell.

For pure what-if fun build the two seat trainer version of it and add markings from a pilot training unit. Not quite Luft'46 but close!

Are you talking Army, Luftwaffe or Waffen-SS units? ;)

Operational control of the V weapons jumped around throughout the course of the war.

The SS took control of them in late '44 under the shadowy Hans Kammler.

I always liked the idea of the piloted Reichenberg with a pair of 30mm cannons in place of the warhead and rocket boosters, mounted on a ramp on a Panther chassis.  The idea being they would be launched for low level air cover.  Either them or Bachem Natters.  Now they could definitely have national markings!  Ambush scheme?

Yup Eddie Kruck with chemical warheads for an attack on New York.

Also did a King Tiger V-2 launcher ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

IIRC, I bought a flatbed rail truck kit and intended building a launch tower for Natters on that so trains could have their own point defence interceptors.  Perhaps manned and armed Reichenbergs would be better? Although given that the power of a pulsejet trails off rapidly with height, you'd only be able to use them against close support aircraft.

Yes that was him; along with the 1/72 scale flight deck of the Graf Zep.
