Pretty sure its a Skyraider nose.  He said he added a Wright R-3350 radial and that prop is definitely from a Skyraider.

Neat bird and cool camo! 

I was having second thoughts because of the odd looking pointed bit on the prop, not seen a Skyraider with it on before

I see what you mean about the pointy bit on the prop hub; I think that's added.  I always wondered why that prop never had a spinner of any sort.  It always seemed "incomplete" to me.

Yes, it's a stock Skyraider cowling and engine, dropped right onto the front of the Otter like it was meant to. Stock Otter exhausts, and the Skyraider prop was cut down a tad.

Really nice - in an alternative reality it would have been the inspiration for the Fairchild AU-23 Peacemaker.
